Not that it made any difference in the final score but did Luke Ritter fail to get a sac bunt down in the 9th with runners on 1st and 2nd and not outs and the Shocks down by 2 or did they even attempt the sacrifice?78-65

Probably just my lack of experience navigating the Wichita Eagle website, but how many people would know the game was covered by the Eagle's KSU beat writer?
If this had been a men's basketball game between WSU and KSU we probaby would have had two articles by Sully and two by Robinett plus an opinion column.
They are looking to provide what they think the greatest number of subscribers will be interested in. They can see the crowds, or lack thereof, at Eck Stadium as well as anyone.
Who knows maybe WSU has suggested it might be okay if the Eagle didn't bring too much attention to the baseball program right now.Last edited by 1972Shocker; May 3, 2017, 10:59 PM.
