Not very many folks being gouged at the ballpark in Omaha tonight. I'm sure the weather is a factor but looks like about 30 people in attendance. That really looks sparse in a 24,000 seat stadium.

The Shocks loaded the bases in the 2nd inning with 2-outs courtesy of 3 walks by the CU pitcher. Alex Jackson made them pay with a texas league single to left to score 2 runs as the Shocks draw first blood.

A lead off triple leads to a Creighton run in the 3rd.

Still 2-1 to the 5th. We'll see if Kilgore can get over the hump and survive 5+ tonight - so far so good, he's been sharp and performed a nice Houdini act escaping a runner at 3rd w/1 out in the 4th with a K and ground out to 2b to end the inning.

2 very hard hit balls by Jenista and Bohm in the Shocker 5th both caught by the rightfielder.

It always scares me when Sanburn comes in with runners on....apparently with good reason

A single, sac bunt, unproductive ground out and a walk put Creighton runners at 1st and 2nd with 2 outs in the bottom of the 5th. Keylan Kilgore gets the hook at that point with Chase Sanburn on in relief. Chase uncorked about the wildest pitch of the year. Only missed the plate by about 5 feet. That moves both runners into scoring position and Chase gives up a double down the left field line to score both inherited runners.

Creighton 3 - Shockers 2 after 5 complete.

In the top of the 7th Jordan Boyer worked a 1 out walk after falling behind in the count 0-2. Alex Jackson followed with a hit and run single to put runners on the corners.

Greyson Jenista delivered the tying run with a sac fly to left.

Alec Bohm singled to center and Creighton intentionally walked Willie Schwanke to load the gases but Noah Croft struck out on a 3-2 pitch after being ahead in the count 3-0.
