Willie hits another ball on the screws this time snagged by the KU 1st baseman. Hopefully, he keeps squaring these balls up. They are going to start finding some holes.

Keylan gives up his 2nd home run of the game this one a 2-run shot. Shocks lead cut to 5-4.

Both homer runs Keylan allowed were to players that had not hit a home run this year. Perhaps brings into question the strategy of throwin fastballs almost exclusively.

Not sure about bringing Chandler Sanburn in. He has not exactly been lights out this year. Chandler did well after walking the 1st batter he faced.

Lady Shocks take care of business with a 6-0, 3-hit shutout of the Lady Jayhawks in Arrocha BallPark next door to Hoglund BallPark.

Shocker Katie Malone notches her 20th win of the seaon going the 1st six innings with Jenni Brooks pitching the 7th.

Okay, guys now it's up to you to take care of business. Let's get some insurance runs.

Shockers still leading 5-4 to the 7th. 2 good innings from Sanburn in relief.

Croft triples to lead off the 7th, big opportunity here.

Boyer drives him in with a single on a 2-2 pitch, 6-4 Shockers in the top of the 7th. Boyer on 1st now w/0 out.

Wow. The Shocks have had some tough luck hitting tonight. Quite a few very solidly struck balls have been caught.

My guess is that the Shocks will turn this 2-run lead over to the H-Boys (Heuer, Holifield and Hecht) to try to seal the deal.

Enjoyed it when these homers started talking about one of the players being from Heights. They mentioned that Heights had produced many quality athletes, but only mentioned Perry Ellis by name.

Wonder why they didn't mention Evan?

                  Bwahahaha!

Considering it's a baseball game perhaps they should have mentioned the Dreifort Brothers, Darren and Todd, both Shocker Hall of Famers.

Codi Heuer may have just broke up the H-Boys triumvirate.

Shocks just giving KU handouts this inning. Yuck!

A base hit now gives KU the lead.

Single, strike out, and fly out had KU with a runner on 1st and 2 out. Then hit by pitch, walk, hit by pitch, walk. Tie game. Bases still loaded.

KU leads 8-6. Shocker bullpen implodes.

See, praise the pitching one night, then blame the bats the next night. Then you praise the bats one night, then blame the pitching the next. In summary, they all suck. This program sucks. It's embarrassing how they lose games.

I hope the WSU athletic department is proud of this sport.
