Bradley's opponents are 359-202, the 12th best winning % right now.


I don't know how he figures the NPI but I suspect he just weighs a team's winning percentage at higher than 25%. That would certainly result in a much higher number for Bradley than their RPI would indicate.

Here is a model that was published in 2011 for rating NCAA Baseball teams. As far as I know it did not gain any traction.

Boyd Nation publishes his ISR (Iterative Strength Ratings) on his website. Nation uses an algorithm to combine a team’s winning percentage with their strength of schedule. The goal of the ISR is to take advantage of inter-regional games more accurately than other systems. Warren Nolan has a ranking system called NPI. Nolan keeps his ranking system secret.

Not sure how Boyd Nation comes up with his SOS ratings but in his ISR rankings he has WSU at 106 and Bradley at 181.
