    This year is starting to become real fun and is starting to remind me of the 90's. Here is where WSU in ranking nationally (team and individual)

    I think we were first or second last year in team ERA. We need to improve our pitching.

      Our pitching is ok, not quite as stellar in recent years, mainly due to our relief pitching... but our bats are more than making up for it.

      When was the last time a Shocker team was in the Top 15 in hits/game? Probably late 1990's?...

      That's the stat that jumps out at me.

        Actually the hit's per game is a pitching stat, not an offensive stat. I probably should have put a note on it so it couldn't be misunderstood.

        One thing I'm really glad to see is WSU hitting for a respectable Slugging Pct. WSU is doing this not by swinging for the fences, but just trying to put good swings and driving the ball.

          Thanks for correcting me. I got a little confused. I thought it was a little strange to have a Top 15 offensive stat, despite how much improved we are.
