How much impact were you expecting from kids still finishing up their high school careers?

Sounds like a good get. Hopefully when he shows up here he doesn't join the 99 walks in 25 innings club.

Not sure without knowing his birth date but probably not. He graduated from high school in 2017 and then has played juco ball at Rose State College in 2018 and 2019. Most commonly sophomores who are draft eligible are players who have taken a redshirt year previously. Not sure whether there are any special rules that apply to Juco sophomores. I am not aware of any.

All juco players are draft eligible at both the end of their freshman and sophomore seasons...

Thanks for the info. That will make it interesting especially if the Shocks make the anticipated coaching change.

There's a decent chance he'll be at WSU in the fall. Live arm.

He knew he'd be drafted, and unless they go crazy with a signing bonus, I expect him to be in a Shocker uniform come fall.

Hamilton will likely be Eric Wedge’s first recruitment jobs.

I really like Wedge’s quote, “A player better be ready to be his best self before going to play in the Big Leagues” after being drafted.

Jake Hamilton named HM All American

“The rebellion on the populist right against the results of the 2020 election was partly a cynical, knowing effort by political operators and their hype men in the media to steal an election or at least get rich trying. But it was also the tragic consequence of the informational malnourishment so badly afflicting the nation. ... Americans gorge themselves daily on empty informational calories, indulging their sugar fixes of self-affirming half-truths and even outright lies.'

Well as long as we keep the catcher from campus we should be good

That could also impact 2020 commit RHP Konnor Lewis, who is from the same H.S., although Pelfrey staying may mitigate that.
