Don't be surprised if they announce Andy Pettite as the next pitcher. This recent article had a mention of Craig Biggio. I guarantee if they spoke to Biggio, they spoke to Pettite. Those guys coach high school ball together and Andy lives a stones throw from Clemons.

anybody go to the game yesterday?
My brother had free tickets 6 rows from the field behind the first base line.
Game was pretty good, Hudson and Beckett looked pretty good pitching.
The Colorado Xpress pitcher was actually really pretty good for his 5+ innings.
Hill on the stars wasn't impressive batting, j.d. drew was.
the stadium did not want to let anything leave it.
There had to be at least 3 if not 4 balls hit by the stars that literally went as far as they could without leaving the stadium.

Our tickets placed us right next to the Stars bullpen. Andy LaRoche threw my daughter a baseball, another kid reached out and snagged it but realized it was meant for her and gave her the ball (which she gave to her little brother). Andy then acknowledged his kindness and gave the kid another ball. It was a really neat experience to see Beckett, Penny, Hudson, LaRoche, Robertson, Oswalt, Tomko, and Germano literally within arms reach of us.
The WPD Officer acting as security by the bullpen was asked where Clemens was. He said Roger isn't in town yet and arrives on Monday.
The Express team from CO had a very impressive second baseman, starting pitcher and center fielder who made a ESPN top 10 diving catch. Brandon Inge was a stud for the Stars, I think he went 3 for 3 with a sac fly.
The bullpen guys were supplied baseballs right out of the package. You could tell they did not prefer these balls. Tomko was the most animated about it (not angry but you could tell he definitely did not liked the brand spanking new balls), I think I heard him ask if there was tar around. Looks like the powers at be need to invest in some rubbed baseballs in the future.

The center fielder on that late game catch was awesome!
I think he robbed LaRoche of the hit and rbi's.

seems like some of the players were having a really good time too.
I think Brandon Inge said this was some of the best stuff/time he has had in years.
Made baseball fun again to him, especially when he saw how excited the kids were watching them.
good to hear!
