25 years this June marks a pretty special time for Valley baseball fans. I know it's a little early, but I decided to bring it up now since nobody will be paying attention to baseball after this week.

I found this on youtube and it really just brings you back. The excitement, the anticipation of June baseball in Omaha. Ahh, those were the days.. Oh, and WSU owning the hometown team twice in Omaha and 8 times on the year.

    WSU highlights start at 17:37, 30:58, 44:00.

It really stings especially hard thinking about baseball now and baseball back then.
    Deuces Valley.
    ... No really, deuces.

A link to the most important throw in that CWS. And one of the biggest in Shocker history. I still love to watch it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hjPiLHAKRAw

Still gives me chills just like when I watched it on TV as a teenager.

I wish there was a way to watch the old broadcast of our college world series games. The only one I bothered to tape back in the day was the 1993 loss to LSU.

          How about this one

Highlights from the 1989 National Champion Wichita State Baseball Team DVD called "This Time It Happened To Us: A National Championship Story."

Or, rather than smiling and bringing back good memories, makes you think how far this once mighty program has fallen.

"Great Throw. It doesn't get any better than that.." That was one of the best baseball games ever.
