If the offense had mashed its way to an NCAA bid through the conference tourney, I could buy the false hope angle. Instead, looks like they decided to start summer early.

I'm guessing there is a rain delay going on now? And maybe for a while, judging from the radar. I'd guess WSU doesn't play until early this afternoon, at best.

In game 1 of any series - it always suppose to be ace vs ace, a pitching duel. Of course WSU ace is like somebody number 4 starter. But if maybe wsu can find somehow to win today - things then move to a little each game in the hitters favor as quality pitching gets depleted - but it probably going to take for some pitcher(s) to step up and demonstrate the potential that they were recruited for.

But what is the longest winning streak this team has had this year? I think we already know the character of this team so it is not likely they are going to pull off s miracle finish that some of the past WSU team have done - the talent is just not there.

Seems to me that there are very few aces in the league this year. Which also might explain the late-season hitting numbers. Although, WSU did lead the league in hitting in league games only, and they were the only team that didn't get 3 games to pad their numbers against WSU pitching.

Either way I'm guessing they don't play until 2:30 or 3:00. Game 5 is still in a rain delay in the 5th, and it looks like it may rain for another 45 minutes.

Looks as if the storms have pretty much moved through Terre Haute. I assume they would be starting field work and resuming Game 5 in the not-too-distant future. But who knows. With ISUb in the losers bracket, perhaps they are motivated to get winners bracket games pushed to tomorrow.

Also, I've complained about this for years when it worked against WSU, so I'll do it now. The better seed should always be the home team. This is stupid. Lets de-value the regular season even more and leave things up to coin-flips. Drives me nuts, especially in a sport like baseball where it actually has an impact on gameplay.

I agree. The lowest seed should always play as the visitor. If you are #1 you will play as the home team throughout the tournament!
