Only 3 hits for the Shocks today. The good news is our four pitchers combined for 12 strike outs. The bad news is they combined for 11 hits.

Losing Game 1 is not a good approach in a double elimination tournament especially when your pitching staff is anything but deep. Shocks chances to make the championship game were slim at best coming in. Probably need the Hubble Space Telescope to zone in on those chances now.

Not that many people care anymore but #7 seed MSU scored 12 runs on 15 hits to beat the #2 seed Indiana State 12-5. We face the Trees at ~ 11:30 in an elimination game.

Missouri State seems to have found their hitting again the last 2 weeks or so.

Terrible job yesterday. I think "the pitching wasn't even that bad." And it wasn't, by this year's standard. Which makes me sad. And point out how much pressure there is on the offense to score 8+ runs every day. Just not going to win any 2-1 ball games.

I wonder if this team is ready for this year to be over as much as the fans are. I guess we will find out today but odds are the season will end today. Even if the guys come out fired up they are more than capable of losing to anyone on any day.

While I agree with you, I think there has been just enough hope that the AD will decide not to write a big check. I almost laughed at myself when I typed that. How can a 21-36 season give anyone hope... To me it's just very disappointing that we got ourselves in this position.
