Indeed, 1972. It's hard to believe that Kemnitz has suddenly forgotten how to coach, but if Butler gets another year, Brent has to go, because he clearly can't coach FOR BUTLER. The two are oil and water, and what we're seeing doesn't resemble the Shocker pitching that has carried on such a tradition of excellence for so long.

Either find the money and clean house altogether -- my personal preference -- or start fund-raising for the buyout, give Butler one more year with a short leash, and let him hire his own pitching coach in an attempt to save his job and program. This combination is just an embarrassment.
