  • Shockers Home and Home with K-State - Tues & Wed

The Shockers play at K-State on Tuesday, May 3rd, at 6:30pm then host the Wildcats on Wednesday, May 4th, at 6:30pm to make up last week's rain out.

If you think you might want to take in the K-State game on Wednesday you can do so on the cheap by attending the Shocker softball game Tuesday night at 6:00pm in Wilkins Stadium.

It is Dollar Night at the softball game. Tickets are $1, Hot Dogs and $1 and Drinks are $1. Your ticket stub from the softball game gets you free admission to the K-State game on Wednesday.

Nice rally killing at bat by Troutwine. Shocks pick up 2 but should have been much more. They were up 1-0 with no outs and the bases loaded. Only plated 1 more.

Chandler Sanburn getting the start for the Shocks. Who knows what to expect from Chandler?

The sweet spot on these BBCOR bats is not that big but Shocker pitchers have an amazing ability to zone in on it consistently. So they are good at something.

Sounds like Trey Vickers has had a nice defensive game plus he smacked his first home run of the season. Not sure anyone else is worth mentioning in a positive light.

Well Trump promised to make "American Great Again!" tonight - so I assume that goes for WSU baseball also -right?

I was glad to see that HCTB moved Mucha down in the line up but was thinking that Trey Vickers would be our best option in the lead off spot. On the other hand he has been our best hitter over the past two weeks so keeping him in the 9 holes makes lot of sense. Of course, it probably would make absolutely no difference in the outcome.

                      welp.

Unfortunately, I'm guess we have already racked up just a couple too many league wins for anyone to pull the trigger this summer.

                        If that even matters.

Oh, we're just 7 - 23 combined against KU and KSU since 2009 and 1 - 9 against the in-state brethren in Butler's tenure. I thought it couldn't get any worse the last few years with Gene against these clowns, I was wrong.

After 2 innings Shocks on pace to strike out 27 times tonight. K-State starter is a real fireballer with an 85 mph fastball and a 75 mph breaking ball.

Troutwine's sacrifice fly to CF eliminates the possibility of the Shocks striking out 27 times tonight. We are currently at 8 strike outs in 3 innings.
