I can guarantee you that none of those guys have ever been in my kitchen.

I was surprised when I saw Ted Williams because he was pretty lanky.

This is where I came up with the heights I mentioned:

Looks like Roberto Clemente, Jackie Robinson, Pete Rose, Whitey Ford would be out of luck as well.

      Hank Aaron 6'
      Yogi Berra 5'7"

      Just wondering.

I've also seen Mantle listed at 6'.

I know I don't follow wsu baseball as much as some of you do but what's up with this height stuff? I watched wsu play when they were in Lincoln several weeks ago and Butler looked kinda short to me. Does he have little man syndrome? Baseball reference lists him at 5'10" that might be a stretch.

How about recently with guys like

            Marcus Stroman
            Tim Lincecum
            Sonny Gray
            Kris Medlen
            Tim Collins
            Dustin Pedroia
Adam Eaton (Seriously if that guy wasnt a prototypical Gene player)
            Dee Gordon
            Russell Martin
            Kolten Wong
            Brian Dozier
            Brett Gardner
            Jason Kipnis
            Andrew McCutcheon

            But screw skills right?

He has openly commented about recruiting guys that pass the eye test with the "right" physical specs - height included. At the First Pitch Banquet this year he commented on the physicality of the team, even made a point to mention that not a single person on the roster was below 6'0'' tall, except Tanner Kirk who is 5'11'', so they were "going to go ahead and list him at 6'0''"

I don't agree with that at all. There are plenty of under 6ft guys that have great success at the college and pro level. For a coach to come out and say that is just wrong and it leaves a lot of talent off the table.

I have seen Alex Jackson when he was on campus at WSU for his visit. He is a few inches below the 6ft mark. He must of added in to his height.
