Just ended. 15-7.

Shocks did accumulate 11 hits, 9 by freshman, and held OU to 1 run over the last 5 innings. Problem is that most of that came when the outcome was not really in doubt.

Perhaps we should just go with the freshman position players the rest of the year a give them a good baptism under fire. Unlikely to win many more games with the lack of quality depth in our pitching staff so why not.

At the game and the Defense and pitching was TERRIBLE. The offense while really poor at times, didn't seem to strike out as much as normal... if thats any positive.

Butler had a bone headed play at 3rd base on not waving one of the shockers home too. He ended up scoring after another out and a hit. A couple fans were giving butler some noise, but otherwise it was pretty lackluster.

This team is bad. Pitching is worse than when I played at west urban 15 years ago.

Losing is bad. Losing badly, time after time, is totally unforgivable. Fans and supporters need to start making Butler very uncomfortable without aiming at the players. ADES may have been stupid for the contract, but I don't think anyone ever thought Butler would be this bad. The man is legally stealing from WSU. If he's not going to earn his money on the field, he needs to earn it by taking a lot of heat from every source possible.

BK needs to be interviewed with some tough questions by Lutz or Paul on just what the hell is going on with the staff. "Did you just forget how to recruit and coach pitchers or is something else wrong?"

Jeff Ryan wasn't exactly a big kid either. However, the BBCOR bats have pretty much eliminated the chance of putting up long ball numbers like those guys had regardless of your physical stature.

Oh, no. But what he achieved with his power numbers spits in the face of the type of recruiting going on. Besides, you need a little power with that speed, hitting for average, fielding and baseball IQ.:)
