  • Serious Questions about Schedule

Why are we playing this schedule with the caliber team that we have? Why not play a weak schedule to get the guys some confidence? Does Kemnitz still make the schedule?

I don't think BK shits at work unless told to do so.

How much weaker do you want to schedule? Friends, Tabor? Here are the teams record and RPI to this point.

      N. CO (4-13) - 279
      Oral Rob (7-7) - 116
      N. Mex (8-6) - 189
      Neb-Omaha (9-9) - 119
      SHS (6-11) - 187
      OU (6-9) - 214
      CSF (9-7) - 65

He said he wants the Shox to WIN so they can build confidence, so Tabor is out.

Dang I didn't realize how weak our schedule was, I guess I was just thinking of the bigger names. I don't know what to say anymore.

Are we really just that bad?

No worries, I don't know what to say about this program either. Just think how bad it is going to get when WSU starts plays Nebraska, Cal Poly, TCU, MOST and DBU. The breaking point may be if CU run rules WSU. Butler better hope that the basketball team makes a long run and keeps attention diverted.

I think herein lies the concern. If we were losing to good competition that would be one thing. Other than CSF it hasn't been good. We have the worst RPI in the 16th ranked conference by over 100 (next closest is Southern Illinois at 182).

Graduated from WSU in 1999, still go to most of the home games and love listening to the road games on the radio. Hard for me to take the current status of the program. I was actually excited when Butler was first hired.

same here, graduated in 2009, wife graduated in 2011.
I used to be excited every year for baseball season... lately it has gone down every year and I usually get to maybe 1-2 games a year now. The product on the field is poor.

I think we are all in that state. Graduated a few years ago and played my entire carreer there. I talk to my buddies and old teammates and its just sad, i wish i could brag and say "ya i went there and played there" unfortunately we cannot even do that without being embarrassed. And i was there during genes downfall and his firing, i really didnt think shocker baseball would get worse than it was when i was there. Sad days my fellow shocker friends, sad days.

Lets just say I've seen better hitting teams in the YMCA league.

The pitching isn't exactly lighting anybody up either. I feel they get a pass at times or are overshadowed by the horrendous offense.

They're just an all-around bad team.

                          ... No really, deuces.

Indeed. You can throw in terrible defense and non-existent baseball IQ as well.

If WSU were to play Northern Colorado again, I'm not so sure I would pick WSU to win the series.

I hope the MBB team makes another F4 run. First, it would allow me to ignore the baseball team for another 3 weeks. And second, it might provide the financial windfall needed to make a much-needed change.

Im sure they have been. I generally give pitching a pass when they have horrible offense. and as @Cdizzle: mentioned they are horrible defensively and their baseball IQ is the equivalent of a hot turd on a Arizona street.
