Looking at the live stats, I see the Shox have 9 left on base through 5 innings. Just imagine what this team would be like if they could frikkin hit the ball with runners in scoring position

Glad I decided not to go to the game @OU this year. God this sucks.

3 Ks looking seems right, I mean the OU pitcher throws heat like Noah Synderrgaard and has a Barry Zito 12/6 curve ball.

13 Strikeouts through 8. 9 of those looking. At least it been a team effort. Everyone except Mikel Mucha has gone down looking.

I admire you souls for actually following this crap program. I didn't even know there was a game tonight but would rather gouge my own eyes out than keep up with this team.

I suppose the bright spot was that Cody Tyler and Reagan Biechler retired 18 of the last 20 OU batters allowing only 2 walks. But it was to no avail.

Shocks struck out 13 times and left 12 runners stranded (9 in scoring position).

I think this team has some good athletes but what hey need are some good dirt bags.

more than 4 solid innings of K's that is good pitching or horrible at bats.

Considering the amount of walks we had....

Hard reality to face. I just don't see how the coaching staff survives this year. Yes, the buyout is steep, but either you bite the bullet and finally start salvaging this program, or you lose even more donors, more fans, and worst of all, any dignity you have left. It has to be highly embarrassing for them to tank as they're trying to raise money for a big-time expansion to the Eck. An RPI-killing baseball team has to really hurts the chances of moving to a better conference, and I hope the various advisors who are looking into our conference affiliation hammer that point home to the upper crust. If it affects basketball in that way, you can bet they'll take it seriously. I just can't imagine a doer such as Bardo has it in him to sit around and let this fester much longer. If you can cut ties with a legend, you can cut ties with a disaster. Imagine a good coach harnessing the talents of Ritter, Bohm, Dugas, etc.

Rough time to be a Shocker baseball fan when you're looking forward to seeing the NBC Alumni team play more than the Shockers.

Yes, rough night. That was a game we should win. Listening to the post game show I had to laugh when Mike tried to put a positive spin on our 4-8 start by saying it was a tough early season schedule. Really Mike? Tough?

We have played 3 teams with a winning record (total of 5 of our 12 games) and the best record of any team we played is New Mexico who is 6-4, and they swept us which means they are only 3-4 in their other games. In those 5 games against teams with a winning record we have only won 1 game (a 5-4 win over Nebraska-Omaha). It's probably a little early for RPI to be very meaningful but after this weekend the season will be more than 1/4 over. 7 of our 12 games have been against teams with an RPI over 200 and that includes 3 of our 4 wins. Our SOS right now is sitting at #271 out of 300 teams in D1. Not really sure it's fair to say our record is due to our tough early season schedule...
