  • Wingnuts contest

The Wingnuts Spinner made is debut on the sports at 10 pm lastnight.

There is a "Minor League Logo Contest" on Sports Biz with Darren Rovell.

The wingnuts won their first head-to-head against the San Bernadino Empire 66 logo on Day four of the voting and have advanced to round two. Round one is to be completed on Monday, so watch the site for the next opportunity to vote for the Wingnuts.

Remember when Nancy Pelosi said about Obamacare:
"We have to pass it, to find out what's in it".

A physician called into a radio show and said:
"That's the definition of a stool sample."

Man I love minor league logos.

They're a heckuva lot more creative than major league logos. The Carolina Mudcats one has been around for a long time, and is still pretty popular. I think marketing people are much better in the minors with creativity in general though.

The other two matchups tomorrow are the #16 Trenton Thunder vs. #12 Wichita Wingnuts...

Congratulations to the Quad Cities River Bandits and the Clinton Lumberkings, who advance to the "Sweet 16." More than 17,000 votes came in for the run-off alone.

Here's the link for the voting.

So after yesterday's voting the first four teams are into the Elite Eight and by tomorrow at 9 a.m. ET we'll have the other four. Today's headline? "Down go the Casper Ghosts!" The No. 16 seed, who appropriately waited until their opponents were asleep to make up most of their ground throughout the tournament (due to their timezone advantage), were shocked...

This would appear to be a contest that is right up Marty's sleeve.

At currently around 11,000 votes, a 2% difference would be 220 votes.

With over 13,500 votes total, the Wingnuts now hold a 51% to 49% lead.

And earlier on sports, Jim Kobbe said the voting was over. I guess he didn't read that it continues until 9 am ET tomorrow.

Nice to see it back up to 52 -48.

What a crazy vote it's been. It's getting late out in Jersey. I think their push might be over.

This one seems to be just as tight and shifty as the Presidential Election of 2000.

                              Hope there's no revote..
