As nobody has started this chat yet, I'll bring it up.. What's the word on where some of our players will be playing their summer ball? I'm hoping at least a good majority of our guys are playing in some of the area NBC leagues (Jayhawk, Walter Johnson, MINK) so that we can better keep tabs on them. I'm honestly not sure that we have more than 3 or 4 players that should consider playing in the Cod or Northwoods Leagues. Anybody have an initial idea of where our players will be going?

Found two of the three juco recruits.
Justin Seiwald will play for the Orange County Riptide in the Southern California league
Zach Lewis will play for the LaCrosse Loggers in the NWL
Tyler Gibson, via his twitter feed, may be playing in Chicago this summer at whichever team uses the UIC Flames baseball stadium.
“The rebellion on the populist right against the results of the 2020 election was partly a cynical, knowing effort by political operators and their hype men in the media to steal an election or at least get rich trying. But it was also the tragic consequence of the informational malnourishment so badly afflicting the nation. ... Americans gorge themselves daily on empty informational calories, indulging their sugar fixes of self-affirming half-truths and even outright lies.'”

Also, from the Coastal Plain League's twitter last night: "Defensive Line of the Night: Cody Tyler of the @ILMSharks K'd 11 of 16 outs recorded in 5.1 IP to earn win. 2H 0 ER."

Tyler Gibson, the OU transfer who played at Seminole State last year, is pitching for the Kansas Cougars of the Kansas Collegiate League Baseball (formerly Walter Johnson League?) this summer. Last night, he went 9 IP with 3ER in an extra inning no-decision against the PC Rangers in the season opener. If the KCLB website is to be believed, he struck out 13 Rangers ... but walked 11 and threw ... gulp ... 180 pitches. (This is almost certainly wrong, as no second pitcher is listed for either team, and the game went 12 innings.) #scorebookfail

Updated Comment: If he gets off to a hot start in the Cape Cod league he can enhance the dollars that could be offered to him. He doesn't have to sign until July 17th. So sometimes teams will draft and follow how the player is doing and will raise the ante if he is playing well especially in a league like the Cape.Last edited by 1972Shocker; June 9, 2015, 11:36 AM.
