I'm not sure what is going on with this team, if they are hitting their stride or what, but the excitement for WSU baseball is starting to come back just a little bit. Obviously it's still win the valley tournament or be done, but those chances seem much better now than they did a week ago. Big series at MSU this weekend.
Imagine where this team could be if they had played like this all season
That was fun... too bad I missed most of it. I still think TB knows what he's doing; I listened to his coaches show last night (for the second time) and was again impressed.

Really wish we were following this up with a more reasonable weekend series, but if they keep battling the way they have the last week they could make things interesting in a couple of the games.
Very small and mostly gone after the 5th inning. It's part of the current depressing state of the program. I get that it was a not perfect weather weeknight (though the weather ended up being super nice as the wind died down completely in the 2nd inning), but 5 years ago that game has 4000 extremely delighted and raucous Shocker fans going home happy.
@sbshock. Correct me if I'm wrong, I'm too Lazy right now to check. But isn't this the first time we have played OU since '09? I thought I had read something on here a few years ago about them dropping us because of rpi reasons... this was a great game, glad to see the guys hopefully hitting their stride, would've been nice to see this all season but it would be nice if we are playing our best ball down the stretch now

I stayed until the pitching change in the 5th when Biechler replaced Ashford. Had I been by myself I'd have been there to the end but I had my 11 year old cousin with me and had to get him home. Being he lives down south I decided not to come back.
I will say it was the best crowd I've seen so far this season, although I've only been to a few games, mostly the weekday afternoon games in March
I certainly don't begrudge anyone, especially with children on a school night, for leaving at 9PM when the game is in the 5th inning.....
It was a slow moving game, only reason he came was for the 50 cent hot dogs. That and the fact I'm coaching him, I wanted him to see how the older boys did it.
I really was expecting the game to be at least in the 7th or 8th inning when we left, but it was a fun time.
