  • Saturday Game Times

I have often wondered why all of the Saturday games are 2:00? Many times I have been playing golf etc. and had a group of friends ask about heading to a Shockers Baseball game (we live an hour away), but the game is finishing when we could go make an evening of it. I didn't know if it was tradition, sunshine, the windiest part of the day??? MVC requirement? I am not being critical, just wondering.

Afternoon games are preferable for 3/4 of the season because it is the warmest part of the day. It also gives some flexibility if the game is affected by the weather. Whether there is a league requirement - I doubt it.

I think the players and coaches prefer day games.

Thanks. Just wondering. I would probably be in the minority that would attend more evening games. If it's nice, I like to get stuff done outside in the day and relax with the Shockers in the evening. See you on some Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
