Game 1: Gold 8 - Black 5 (7 innings)

I have a hard time evaluating intra-squad games especially from a box score. If you score well is your offense strong or your pitching weak. If you have a low scoring game was your pitching strong or did your offense stink. So any eye witness reports would be appreciated. I don't think I can make it out until the Sunday game.

One thing that did standout from Game 1's box score was the Black team committed 6 errors in a 7 inning game. Hard to put a positive spin on that one. Also the Black team walked 6 and hit 2 batters. That's just way too much charity.

Today's standout was Willie Schwanke.4-4 with a home run and 2 doubles.His first double was a laser to CF and hit the 390 mark on the fly about a foot from the top of the wall.Nice fluid swing with quick hands.

Butler recruited this guy when he was at Arkansas and dollar to a donut that is why Willie is a Shocker.
