I guess the only reason the Shockers got the Valley baseball tourney next year is because Cu left for the nBE. According to this article in the OWH, the big 10 wanted to hold their tournament in Omaha in 2015 but had to move it to Minneapolis because the Valley had taken Omaha. BTW the article says the big 10 is drawing huge crowds at TD Ameritrade. They will end up with over 60,000 in attendance for the tournament. The old big 10 record was 12,000 at Ohio State.
It is also pretty clear from the article that the Huskers are a much bigger draw in Omaha than the Bluejays.
