Line out DBP. Couldn't even get Gillaspie to the plate after the leadoff walk.

Yeah, but you can't hit the ball any harder than Dayne hit it. That was simply bad luck.

Ashford goes to 3 balls on every hitter but mows them down 1-2-3 in B7.

          Still 1-1 to the 8th.

I don't fault Parker there; he put it in play and Bayliff was off with the 3-2 pitch. The problem was the terrible AB by Bayliff. No idea how this team has so many .260 hitters that can't get down a sac bunt.

Ashford a little wild, but gets a 1-2-3 inning in the 7th.

Gillaspie doesn't look great in a strikeout. Now 0-9 in the tournament, looking quite human for the first time this year.

Casey still in strugg city. We might squeak this one out without him but he needs to wake up for us to have a chance at coming all the way back through the loser's bracket.

Yep. Really tough to blame Casey for ANYTHING this year, but this team was .500 with him being awesome, and won't win many at all without him.

I hope our pitching and defense can hold together for another 4-5 innings until SIU just gifts us another one.

Generous call. I'll take it, we're owed a couple from yesterday.

Ashford walking a tightrope. Needs to sharpen up.

Ashford absolutely playing with fire pitching consistently behind in the count.

                              Triumphantly, possibly with midday fireworks.

Ray must have hit the wall on his pitch count. Not sharp, but no other reason to pull him either.
