    If not, 9-1 will.

Indiana State played like a team who knows they are in the NCAA Tournament. But losing to Bradley 6-2 and MSU 9-1 as the host team is not very impressive.

Only 3 hits, all singles, by the Sycamores today as Cody Schumacher shut them down.

5 out of 6 results so far have been upsets. Wow.

Hopefully our guys see the opportunity that awaits them and don't become complacent. This is almost the equivalent of rolling out the red carpet.

Hard to believe our guys will be complacent when it's win or go home for season.

I know you've seen this team. Doesn't seem that hard to believe.

True, but they showed something today they haven't really shown us before today. But I acknowledge things come and go with the Shocks pretty easily this year.

Indiana State might be an NCAA lock, but a 2-and-'que probably ended any hopes they might have had to be a regional host.

According to Warren Nolan, WSU's RPI rose a bit to .5305 (now ranked 79th), while Evansville's fell to .5313 (75th). So neither is relevant for at-large discussion, although a few more wins by WSU will get them at least past Evansville.

But mostly, it's just win or go home, and the Aces have already booked themselves their return to southern Indiana. WSU, meanwhile, gets to stay in beautiful Terre Haute at least one more day and try to repeat last year's feat. Excelsior!

Da Shoxers can do dis! :yahoo:

I am actually digging these early morning games. Simpson's going to need the extra few hours to cool off that hot batting engine that was all revved up this morning.

                      Dang that was inspiring.

I agree. While I enjoyed and appreciate the fight the guys showed today, thinking they've got that for 4 more is pushing the limits of common sense.

Could it happen...sure. Will it? How many "midweek" starts did this team win this season?

                        Go Shox!

Does the run rule apply in tournament games?

Yes, except for the championship game.

Lightning delay with ISUr up on SIU 6-1 in the 8th. SIU has been putrid at the plate, collecting 3 hits and 11 strikeouts. ISUr has 3 HRs. Seems like baseballs want to leave Terre Haute, too.
