WSU (29-26) face off in the first game of the MVC tournament with ISUR who they just swept. How far has ISUR fallen - they were in the hunt for at-large and had a RPI of 28. But in their last 10 games they are now 1-9. Shockers just need to keep their heel on their throat and let ISUR find their way back in the fall.

Yea, we'd be either a soft 3 seed or a tough 4 seed in a regional if we're lucky enough to win this weekend. Odds of things falling in place for us to host a super would approach powerball territory.Originally posted by Kung Wu View PostComment

As practical matter yes. However, hosting of the super-regionals is not set I don't think, but if the Shocks win a regional this year to advance to a super-regional I'd be in a daze. Yes, there could be a scenario for hosting super regional - but it would take alot of things to happen like WSU winning a regional and their sister regional to be upset by somebody who didn't want to host a super regional (much like in 2007 with UC Irvine) - of course that would likely mean WSU was on a 11 game win streak to do that.Originally posted by Kung Wu View PostComment
