More domination of Redbird athletics. Karma's a b*tch to the worst fanbase on earth.

    Suck it Turds.
    Deuces Valley.
    ... No really, deuces.

One of the nice things about the series at Illinois St was that I got to see Don and Shirley Beggs. They came out to Saturdays game (they would have gone to more games but they had a very busy weekend including some visitors from Florida). They are enjoying retirement and following the Shockers very closely. They were able to watch nearly every Shocker basketball game this year via TV or the computer. They also went to St. Louis this year for both the mens and womens Valley basketball tournaments and the mens ncaa tournament games.

Since WSU doesn't have football, they have also become very involved in supporting the Illinois St Redbird bootball team. Shirley raved about their new football stadium and talked about the very nice club they have that is very similar to the All-America room at WSU. Shirley said that they are having a lot of fun attending Redbird football games.

Made it. But it was anything but easy.

Actually, I think the streak is now 37 consecutive years with 30 or more wins and better than 0.500 record.

Let's hope this is as close as it comes to breaking that streak for another 37 years although next year may be a real challenge.

I find that very interesting since Beggs didn't seem to show much interest in bringing back football when he was President of WSU. He and Shirley were always very supportive of the baseball team (and all Shocker athletics) but he always seemed to talk down the idea of bringing back football.
