  • Gm 32 - at ORU

Shocker (16-15) are nearing the 0.500 mark The streak with RISP has to end? Right? Did JT curse the grounds when he left?

Shox will face ORU who is 15-16 with RPI of 101 - third time is a charm and should be great day to play baseball. ORU also struggle with scoring runs at a time - so this game should be like a soccer match. I heard JJClamdip, heard "soccer match" and has already drove down to Eck Stadium and camped out for tickets with JT bobblehead. I didn't have the heart to tell him the game is in Tulsa.

ORU has went 1-2 vs DBU, 1-1 vs SWMO, 1-0 vs KU

Yes, it will end. Heck even a poor hitting team would expect to get 10 hits in 40 tries with RISP. This just has to be an aberration. I predict the streak will end tonight. Don't ask me why? Law of averages I guess.

Of course we have a runner in scoring position in the first and even Casey can't get a hit.

0-43. Not only no hits but no productive at bats either.

The ORU pitcher allows an opponens BA of 0.400+ if I heard Mike correctly. Thought for sure we going to break the streak with that setup.

Brummett's balk cost him a run in the bottom of the 1st. Otherwise, he escapes the lead-off double.

Coming into the season I was thinking Garrett would step up and be one of our mainstays in the starting rotation. Just hasn't found a groove so far this season.

Roy Hobbs shows up. The streak is over. Hopefully, that 700lb gorilla has jumped off our backs.

I was a little surprised that ORU pitched to Roy, er I mean Casey, in the situation.

I am quoting Shane accurately I think he said in he post-game report that in our last 53 at bats with RISP we have had 1 hit and produced a total of 2 runs. Both were on Casey's 2-run homer last night. Not sure how many times we could have scored a run with 1 or 2 productive outs be we are 0 for how ever many opportunities that has been. And if the had pitched around Casey last night we probably don't have that.

It really is an almost unbelievable stat and kind of difficult to wrap your mind around it.
