Shocker Freshman Sam Tewes will have a lot to say about that on both counts and I think he will get it done.

The reason SWMO scored today was because HCTB and/or PCBK were trying to get Cale Elam and complete game.

Shocks trailing 2-3 after 3 and Sam Tewes has been knocked out of the game. Aaron LaBrie comes in with runners on 2nd and 3rd and 1 out in the 4th.

Shocks escape on a routine 4-2-5-2-4 double play.

Shocks need to go back into the locker room and change into their hitting shoes.

Finally, Casey G with a huge 2-out RBI double into the RF corner to get the game tied at 3-all in the bottom of the 8th.

Shocks lose 4-3.

Ashford and Palmer combined to allow MSU to score in the top of the 9th. Micah Green and Eric Harbutz got back-to-back singles in the bottom of the 9th with 2 outs, but Cody Bobbitt grounded out to end the game.

We are getting very little out of the 9-hole as Cody Bobbitt stranded 7 runners, but more importantly Gillaspie, Bayliff, Simpson and Baker combined to go 1-15 in the middle of the lineup and strand 7 runners also.

Still, the Shocks did win the series.

Yep, tough day, although both the MBB and WBB teams gave a terrific account of themselves. The baseball team struggled today. When the opposing pitching staff hands out 10 free passes (9 BB and 1 HBP) you need to take advantage much better than the guys did today. The nice thing about baseball though is you never have to wait too long to regroup.
