Well we knew we weren't going to match the Shocker basketball undefeated streak. Still this is too reminiscent of recent seasons although perhaps that shouldn't be too much of a surprise considering this year's team is pretty much the same as last year's team from a personnel standpoint. Let's see how the guys bounce back tomorrow.

You are correct. If your pitching staff holds a team to 1 run in 9 innings your hitters better complete - and they didn't. It will be interesting to see how they respond today.

We are seeing some very good pitching performances, but we are seeing some that are very bad. Ashford performance was crap. He didn't even compete with his walks he gave up. At least if you are in the zone, you have at least 60% of getting an out - with a walk it is 0%. There has been several pitchers who have did the same thing. I'm hoping we are seeing some of these guys due to suspension and not because WSU have a depth problem of quality arms on the staff.
