That does seem odd to leave at this juncture however the statement released was without a doubt said "FIRED".

Anything's possible, but I personally suspect that as far as Kemnitz is concerned that ship has left the barn; that horse has sailed; and whatever other cliche can be mangled. Besides, who's to say that Butler won't restore WSU to being a better program than OU is, just as it was for most of Stephenson's tenure before the energy started to fade?

That might have been true under Stephenson, but I don't believe so under Butler.
