Mmm, the Anchor Inn buffet sounds really good right now.

      Really?

I think that the food is really pretty poor. I just don't get the popularity of the place.

Of course it is Hutchinson and that explains a lot.

Sometimes cheap Mexican food hits the spot.

The Crayton Blue Jays are gone and I am glad, F-them!
But don't forget, your all time fav, Northern Iowa, is still around.

One thing he said tonight, in regard to facilities, his first priority is getting a new speaker system that will put speakers all around the stadium instead of just the scoreboard.

Maybe they can use the old speaker system from CKA. It worked so well there. :)

@RoyalShock: just curious what kind of interest that function drew?

Not as much as I'd hoped. Less than 10 of us who weren't part of the event or family of those who were part of it. If you counted everyone who was there, probably just shy of 20. The only promotion I saw (not that I searched it out) was a graphic that was tweeted by GoShockers the day of the event. I'm not a member of the Alumni Assn, so there might have been more info distributed through them.

Mike and Debbie Kennedy were there, as well as the DoBO, Scott Gurss. A guy from the Hutch News was there and should have an article coming out in the next few days.

The Alumni Association doesn't do a great job on events outside of Wichita. It takes a lot of effort to market those events and they either don't seem to make the effort, their efforts aren't effective, or some combination.
