I don't disagree but really the guy has just been introduced and they are talking about how long we can hold onto him.
The past few years of mediocrity have really made a negative impact on some people's perception of the historical caliber of our program (talking about the referenced radio discussion, not you).

I hope I don't sound like a sunshine pumper, but I'd have to say that should WSU baseball return to some degree of it's prior glory, we shouldn't have to worry about losing a coach to brighter pastures. We might have slipped a bit, but we're still one of the most well-known college baseball programs in the country.

Must not have been too many, or else they cleared out quickly. I showed up at 6:30 and HCTB was outside the baseball offices talking with BK, so I didn't bother getting out of my vehicle to interrupt.

            • I guess I am confused. Todd Butler was the hitting coach for a team that had really good pitching and really bad hitting and you guys think you upgraded Head
              Coaches?

He doesn't even have a wikipedia page as of 10:28 CST. cough.... cough.... Ron Prince......

At least most of Gene's team is returning next year and I do like the "5 wins" motto.

and you still have Greg Marshall.

              • Sounds like we may have a "Gregg Marshall" of the baseball world - that would be just fine with me.

Twitter said it was packed with a long line to meet HCTB; the 'meet and greet' was scheduled from 5-7 and likely died down after the first hour. Very happy to see HCGM in attendance.

You think they had bad hitting WITH Todd Butler? You shoulda seen what they would have been hitting like WITHOUT him.

Regarding Wikipedia: The Shockers won a national championship in baseball and attended many College World Series before Wikipedia was invented, unlike other schools in the state that don't have any College World Series appearances or team national championships in ... well .. anything. * cough K-State cough *

So maybe Wikipedia isn't really part of the formula for winning a national championships or making it to a College World Series?

Why does a K-State fan care so much about what Wichita State is doing? Is it still the little program fan being so concerned and insecure with what big program fan is saying and doing?

Now I get it. Carry on.

Hey, at least he did research on Wikipedia.

Although, come to think of it, I don't think Gene had a Wikipedia page when we hired him. Had Al Gore created the Internet yet?

Brad Hill was hired at K-State in the summer of 2003. A wikipedia page for Brad Hill first appeared on May 19, 2008.
