It would not surprise me to go 0-3 this weekend. An “Old West” Texas analysis and summary of Mueller report and Congress’ efforts in one sentence:
"While we recognize that the subject did not actually steal any horses, he is obviously guilty of trying to resist being hanged for it."

Same sh!t, different day. The poor pitching performance was punctuated by the hitters' inability to produce runs with runners on 2nd and 3rd and less that two outs. Twice.
I am so sick of unagressive hitters wearing Shocker uniforms I can't stand it.Basketball Season Tix since '77-78 . . . . . . Baseball Season Tix since '88

Shocks won the opener 8-1.
They came back tonight to take the lead in the 6th 5-4. But TJ McGreevy and the rest of our elite relievers gave it right back in the Top of the 7th. We trailed 8-5.
Looking at the gamecast now, WSU has scored 10 in the bottom of the 7th, Coy is on 2nd, still ZERO outs, and we now have a 15-8 lead.
Gonna salvage the series. Nice to see us swinging even against a crappy team. Pitching, though, is thoroughly disappointing. I think it's time Keminitz starts getting some of the blame around here. We shouldn't be giving up 7 or 8 runs to Texas Pan American, no matter what the year.Deuces Valley.
... No really, deuces.

In a now-that's-more-like-it performance the Shocks downed UTPA today 8-1.
Cale Elam earned the win with 6 innings of 2 hit, 3 walks and 1earned run pitching. Aaron LaBrie who has been one of the steadiest of the Shocker pitchers this year closed the game with 3 innings of 1 hit, scoreless relief.
The Shocks scored 4 in the 3rd all with two outs to take the lead.
Taylor Doggett went 4-5 out of the 2-hole while Johnny Coy and Tanner Dearman were both 2-4 accounting for 8 of the Shocks 12 hits, but the big story today was the 3-hit pitcher by Elam and LaBrie.
UTPA will be throwing there #1 guy tomorrow.

I see the Shocks took that one 15-8.
UTPA scored 4 in the top of the 7th to take an 8-5 lead and the Shocks answered with a 10 spot in the botton of the inning to put the game away.
Casey started the rally with a walk and scored on Johnny Coy's double and Casey capped the rally with a Grand Slam home run.
Casey 3 for 3 with 4 RBI, Doggett 2 for 4 with 3 RBI and Dearman 4 for 4 with 3 RBI accounting for 9 of the Shocks 15 hits and 10 of their 15 runs. Good day for these 3 guys at the plate.
Ladwig and McGreevey weren't overly sharp on the mound but Drew Palmer, Foster Vielock and Austin Sanders pitched OK to close the game out.Last edited by 1972Shocker; March 9, 2013, 10:44 PM.
