Yes when Gene has wanted something, he just has gone out and gotten it. He didn't answer to anyone except maybe the President and even then the Presidents knew that Gene had a direct track to the big donors. Management was probably the goal and I doubt that even any Presidents thought it a good idea to get in his way.

I was told that Hooper is not a candidate because he never completed his coursework to get his degree. Can anyone confirm or refute this? I have no doubt he would be a great motivator and have the ability to work the program back to a contender. The fans would love it as well.

I agree Baker all the way if not Zimmerman, then Arens but you never know what kind of jump one can make from one year to the next.

Arens is a quality backup, but the coaches have been singing the praises of Baker's arm and his ability to call a game ever since we signed him.

Maybe you didn't notice but I have Baker at 3rd. So really it is Arens, Zimmerman, or Halbert or someone else. Bob is a junior. He had a good fall World Series that's why I had him. But what the hell do I know Really???? I added Josh to play 3rd if Baker catches. Just look at the stats. But after a look at the fall stats Mucha should replace Doggett.

How did Zimmerman look in the fall? Everybody says Tanner Kirk is the real deal and will be hard to keep out of the lineup too.

If Baker continues to hit in the high 100s he may not be playing 3rd or C.
