Say you have someone drafted out of HS….3-4 years later realizes it is an uphill battle to get to the major league that he could lose so he decides to use the MLB college fund and head back to school this fall. He decides he wants to play college baseball. Of course the NCAA says no. He sues asking for an injunction allowing him to play based on their are no longer amateurs nor the NCAA has no authority over his eligibility since he has never started college. Probability of success?

I might be going a little Bilas here, but the definition of amateur has always been a little fuzzy. How is free tuition, room and board, and books, not a form of payment?

It seems like "amateur" track athletes used to get paid to appear, not for performance and thus could keep their amateur status.
