Does anybody use the "Watch - Listen - Live Stats - Preview - History" links I include from goshockers? If not, I will stop including them. If so, I will keep including them.

SCOUTING SOUTH FLORIDA: The Bulls enter the series 16-13 overall and 3-3 in AAC play, with a series win at home against Memphis and a series loss on the road at Charlotte. South Florida dropped a midweek game on Tuesday against Stetson, falling 19-9 in eight innings. The USF offense possesses power and speed, as the Bulls rank second in the conference with 62 doubles and 24th nationally with 58 stolen bases. Senior Ben Rozenblum leads the way with 15 swipes in 17 attempts to top the conference leaderboard. Outfielder Drew Brutcher is third in the country with 36 walks and has homered 13 times each of the last two seasons. On the mound, starters Hunter Mink and Jack Cebert are durable arms at the front of the rotation, averaging nearly six innings per start. Closer Chandler Dorsey has five saves but a 5.65 ERA.

Welcome to the weekend rotation Mr. Dobbs.

WSU is a slightly better hitting and fielding team. We've played a tougher schedule (outside of conference play so far). WSU is a much better pitching team. USF only has 4 pitchers that possess an ERA below 4.00 and one of those has only faced 2 batters.

Cebert has better stuff than Mink and the Bulls will come in on you. They've hit batters 40 times. We've been hit 71 times. You can hit these guys, and we should.

USF LOVES to run. Averages almost 3 attempted steals per game. But they give up some bases too.

I'd guess we'll see Birge behind the plate twice and Mo once. We need our less experienced hitters (guys outside Mo, Jordo and Stroh) to start hitting a bunch again. If we get 3 quality start of 5 innings plus we should be in really good shape. Need to get Mount and Zang some quality work if possible.

This is the first time I'm missing this road series. Since we joined the league, every time we've played USF in Tampa it's been the week before Clearwater so we turned it into a 2 week trip/vacation. It's neat little facility and a good hitters park. Play clean and do what we do and it should be a step forward.

As always, if we want to contend a series win is a must, but this is looking more like a needed sweep.

A sweep would be ideal. Maybe Wednesday night will give them a little momentum and refocus them a bit.

A swipe is when you are looking at what base you want to be on. You swipe left to stay where you are and swipe right if you want to move on to the next base. If you swipe right, you always run the risk of getting getting rejected and having to go play with your bat and balls in the dugout by yourself. But also, YOLO.

2-1 road series win against a mid-pack, Q2 team is very, very solid. It's not enough if you want to win the league, but it's still solid progress. Just keep stacking series wins.

If you're serious about contending for the league title, you probably have to sweep this. That loss to UAB has to be made up somewhere if you want to win the championship, and this is a potential spot for it.

At this point in the season, as a team, you've done enough to tell yourselves it's time to take each game and series seriously in an effort to do something worthwhile. Would love to see that intensity and focus. And then hope that it pays off.

It is also something a player may do during a bathroom visit pre-game or during the game
