  • Dalton Banwart arrested?

There is a house at 2930 N Keith with a sign out front that reads:

"Drunk Driver Dalton Banwart thanks for ruining our (the last part I didn't catch as I was driving by but it either said "family" or "home")". A quick google revealed the following arrest record from last Friday night/Saturday morning:

It appears he was driving drunk and hit a "fixed object"...perhaps the house? Just curious if anyone knows any more about this, didn't find anything in the news either.

Can someone refresh my memory with him? Did he transfer, get drafted? For the life of me I am drawing a blank.

Dalton just decided to move on with his life, outside of WSU and baseball. Wish him the best, sounds like he'll need it.

Be careful of what you think you know! Wait on the facts to be presented, then make your decisions on whom is a "moron"! There could be more to this story then what you think you know!

Then again, maybe not! Dalton has always presented himself and his family in a positive way each time I have been around him, I sincerely hope all is well, or at least "correctable" in his life!

+1 I don't know Dalton personally, but I have met many in the family, and I've always been impressed. Good people. Very good people. I have no idea what happened that night but I wish the young man well, no matter what happened. The Banwart family has been very, very good to WSU, and they deserve our respect.

Hey don't we all make a mistake or two. This sucks for anyone and hopefully it was just a fluke deal.

The name of the family that lives in this house is the Florio's, they are some of the biggest A-holes I have ever met (especially the wife). Karma sucks doesn't it. I am sure they have made mistakes is the past as well and to put this sign in their yard to one of the biggest chicken S$%T things I have ever seen

I'm not going to defend Banwart if he got a DUI. I have no sympathy for anyone dumb enough to get behind the wheel after drinking and putting others at risk. I don't care how big of a-holes this family is, driving while intoxicated is also an a-hole thing to do.

Being an a-hole and being irresponsible in the moment are two different things.

And I really wouldn't defend either one. I have no sympathy for those who drive drunk

I don't either, but irresponsibility is typically short-term, which certainly carries accountability for that behavior. A-holes typically fall under a more "chronic" and repeated behavior.
