I was just thinking (sorry not related post here!!) what would the memorabilia market value be on that Sooner jersey that Stephenson put on at the press conference. It's gotta have some value just because of the story around it. I wonder if Gene threw it out the window on I-35 heading back north to Wichita. Where did that thing end up?

I will say it's a little convenient that they interviewed a dozen+ coaches and his friend was the one to get the job.

Then just say it. Hibbs was an interim coach who had a fair shake, and because he was an interim coach it is my job to continuously evaluate what is best for the program in the long term including looking at potential candidates during the course of the season. While my familiarity with Coach Green was a factor in the decision as I have observed him first hand, he was not the only candidate we considered. At the end of the season, it was my decision that we could improve on the interim coach and his staff, a decision that was based on a season long evaluation.

I'll bring you up to speed. They worked together at Kentucky for a number of years. To know... to be familiar with. Google can be your friend. And only a fool would be in a position of AD and not have a short list for EVERY coaching position to cover any contingency. ADKS seems not to be a fool.
