Difficult to choose between the absolutely beautiful rain we need and the game we want/need to play.

I'm hoping for a late start to the Friday game, but that makes for a tough weekend for all.


The rain will stop, it's just a matter of when.


One game at a time, but we're in first so let's win them all. Go Shocks!

Looks to me like the light rain we are getting will be done by around 4:00 pm. With the fully artificial surface at Eck Stadium, and I am assuming good drainage, I think tonight's game will be played as scheduled. That said I would rather have the rain.

The Shockers up 7-0 after 2 and they should have had at least 2 more runs.

The Candyman departs after 6 innings leading 8-3. Another quality start. Now can our suspect bullpen seal the deal. Jace MInor comes in to start the 7th inning.

Jace started out a bit shaky giving up a leadoff single followed by a 4-pitch walk but he came back get a 9-pitch strikeout followed by a groundball 6-3 double play.

In the bottom of the 7th a Millan walk, a Thornhill double, a Herring single, Little reaching safely on an error and a 2-out double by Rodden plates 4 runs for the Shocks as the come up just 1 run shy of ending the game by run rule. Shocks 12 - Memphis 3 after 7.

Jace gives up a lead off single in the 8th followed by a strike out and 2 ground outs.

Matt Wilkinson comes on to ptich the 9th and sets the Tigers down in order to finish of a nice 12-3 win for the Shocks.
