I don’t think Tolle is taking the move to Friday night ace that well. Might need to change things back or something.

Looking pretty ugly against a 9-24 team right now.
    Deuces Valley.
    ... No really, deuces.

Last 2 weekend changes are due to the DH we're forced to play, one legit, the other not. When Tolle pitches, he needs about 90 minutes to go through his pregame routine. Neither week could we get that amount of time guaranteed. Candi needs less than an hour. So we needed to have Tolle go first on DH days, or not play him at designated hitter the first game which I don't think they believe is much of an option.

We can't play Sawyre anymore. He's just kicking too many plays. Great kid, but we've got to run out Herring and Little. Hopefully Herring and GPenny will be available game 2 against this shitty team.

      3 ****ing errors. SMH

Also think we have to roll with Jaden and let him grow. Lots of upside. Still going to be a freshman at times.

This team needs to extricate it's collective heads out of it's ass and play the damned game correctly and act like they belong.

Two differences in a two run game.

        1. Stroh gets picked off. Thornhill proceeds to homer the same at bat.

        2. Thornhill with errors on back to back plays. Get down and get the ball in the glove.

I still think they continue to have relief pitching on too short of a leash and need to allow some of these pitchers to work thru the issues. Especially in games that are basically already determined. Boyer wasn’t doing all that bad and probably should have been left in to through some adversity. All these relief pitchers keep looking at the dugout when they give up one hit thinking they are getting pulled. They need to be allowed to fail and still get to keep going. That is the only way to see success or these relief pitchers will continue to lose confidence and not get any better. It’s a basic concept of learning how to get better in anything.

Two clean innings from Candiotti after rough 1st and 3rd innings.

Sorry but the loss yesterday was probably on me. JJ and I didn’t check to see tha change of schedule so we showed up for the scheduled 6:00 game only to find out we missed the first game. Bought a new Shocker baseball cap for the occasion sines I had a new cap at Frisco last year and that worked out pretty well. Met DSB at the game courtesy of DrWu’s better half. Big Shocker fan. Probably a dozen other Shocker fans here as well. It is a zoo in NO they have French Quarter Days this weekend so the players should have a good day off due to playing two yesterday. These people in Louisiana drive with little regard to laws or simple courtesy but they know how to prepare shrimp. Ate lunch at Mike Andersons yesterday and the appetizer was grilled shrimp wrapped in bacon with a slice of jalapeño and cream cheese wrapped between the bacon and shrimp. It was awesome. Touring today but looking forward to the game tomorrow and my new cap mojo. Go Shocks

I suppose when you play a doubleheader and give up 9 runs in each of the games you have to feel pretty fortunate to escape with a split.

Struggling to stay away from the crooked innings and the staff is starting to get really banged up. In addition, a couple of the guys we were able to count on early are struggling big time now.

A split yesterday was certainly a good result. Snead was great except for 1 at bat when he left everything up and was punished.

The pitching staff has been giving up way to much recently. Can expect to win having to score 10 runs a game. Not just this weekend either.

The Shockers are clearly a team that has no faith in their bullpen. You lead 4-0 and have your starter, Grant Adler, with the bases loaded and no outs in the bottom of the 6th and you leave him in.

Grant escapes with only giving up 2 runs. Shocks lead 4-2 after 6.

The Shocks have 11 hits, 2 walks and 2 Tulane errors and have only scored 4 as they have left 9 runners on.

A 1-out double followed by a walk in the 7th finishes Grant Adler's day. Caden Favors, who has struggled lately, is on in relief.

A end of the bat grounder towards the hole on he left side is cut off by Little at 3rd who for some reason shovels a long (about 60 foot - can't remember ever seeing that) underhanded toss to Rodden for the force at 2nd but probably caused Rodden to hurry his throw to 1st and his throw was wide getting past Pennington. Pennington retrieved the throw and threw wildly to home as the runner from 2nd headed home allowing the batter to trot down to 2nd. That was followed by a line drive double to the wall in left on a 3-0 pitch and the game is tied. Cranz on to pitch for favors.
                              Tie game.
