Comparing the weights between last year's and this year's rosters:
    • Conor Gillaspie is listed at 200 lbs. WHAT?! Last year? 180. I'll believe 200 when I see it. What's this? Conor is SMILING! How the heck did THAT happen? :-)

    • Josh Workman is also listed at 200. Last year, 185. I think he looks funny without his goatee. :-)>

    • Clint, who was already a Mountain Man, is up 15 lbs to 245. That's a big boy. And it's not fat.

    • Cody Lassley is up just 4 lbs, but look at that neck!

    • Tyler Hill is up 15 lbs to 190. He wears it well.

    • Brett Bascue is also listed at 200, up from 185 on last year's roster.

    • Pitchers Aaron Shafer, Andy Womack, and Matt Smith are up 10 pounds.

The team followed a different strength program this year. That's one of the great unknowns. Will it be more effective than the former program in making players stronger? Quicker?

Let's hope it's a result of the strength program.

I hope they aren't muscle bound and all pull their hammy's on the first day of practice.

supposedly the new strength trainer has them concentrating on explosive lifts, designed to improve quickness and reaction time.
