MVC Day 2 - WSU vs SWMO (Elimination Game)

Isn't it great that during an elimination game we commit more errors than get hits?

We also turned twice as many double plays than hits. 4 times as many strikeouts as hits. Just a stellar effort all the way around.

But, hey, not a first. This was the 3rd time in 35 years we have gone two and que. 1990 and 2001 were the other years.

At least the season is over now. Who would have thought coming into the tournament that Smith, Gardner, Vielock and Elam would have a combined ERA of around 20 and McGreevey, Minnis and Moorman would have a combined ERA of less than 1?? Pathetic showing by the Shockers and it's time for our administration to do something about it before even more damage is done to our program.

I have to give the team credit for making such an emphatic statement.

First, they have emphatically proven that they do not deserve a regional spot and they certainly have made the selection committee's job easy in that regard.

Second, if it wasn't already obvious then the need for a change in leadership of the program was on full display over the last two days. Time to clean house. That said I think we are stuck with the OU boys for two more seasons.

Not sure it will get much worse, but not sure how successful the guys can be recruiting as lame ducks.
