There is no doubt that is true with this program. The '89 team faced an amazing amount of adversity and if they had just given up nobody would fault them. Meanwhile this team faces a little adversity and they just flat give up.

I was being sarcastic, that is Genes go to excuse. Only problem is all D1 coaches recruit from this generation so it really doesn't hold water.

Now that's Shocker baseball. Get the lead off man on and the next two guys go down looking (although the called 3rd strike on Mucha was well outside). Still if you are going to consistently hit in 0-2 and 1-2 counts you better be prepared to swing at anything close.

Scratching my head on why they didn't bring Mormann back out for the 9th not that it really makes any difference.

I guess they are so used to overusing Cale and bringing him in odd situations that they just can't help themselves.
