Bullpen depth bites us in the ass again. On the other hand why was Pennington swinging when the guy had thrown four straight balls?

Reverted a little, back to old poor approach habits.

I realize they wanted to get some pitchers work, but why pull Boyer after 2…don’t think he even went one time thru the batting order. Don’t get it.

We had to get guys some work. It's a vicious circle/catch 22 etc......they're not good enough now to help but they aren't going to improve by sitting. And only Miner got work from last Wednesday to last night. Boyer continues to trend up. Problem is he's about the only one.


That being said, our D let us down more than our pitching (which also let us down) and our hitting (again, not great approaches far too often). We play clean, we're tough to beat. We don't play clean very often.
