Hottovy is a great guy, I also hope he does well. Growing up in the KC area this has to be a dream come true for him.

Even I am not optimistic about a turnaround for the Royals.

U would have to keep "turnaround" in context - at this point if they just actually won a game or 2 a week would probably constitute a "turnaround".

I didn't want to start another thread, but I feel really bad for Pelf. He was off to a good start and looked to have his old stuff back then his elbow gives out. I'm hoping TJ surgery will get him back 100 percent.

I doubt the Mets gamble on his recovery and release him instead of paying him another 5 million dollars in 2013. Just sucks all the way around for him for his career and financially. He has a partial tear. Does anyone know the prognosis of a partially torn ligament compared to a fully torn? Or does it matter?

Not sure it matters in this case but I believe it's better in others to have a complete tear

Tommy was traded to the Rangers on 11/8 for cash and a player to be named.
