I look at WSU and see a lot of good then I look at Texas and IF there in were in and you know there in. NOT because there good but because there texas. AND yes I think it is a WEAK field to pick from.

ESPN has WSU last 10 out maybe 3 out Texas in is crap Tulane in is crap Utah Valley in as an at large is CRAP. Cheeck out there rpi and there record against the to 200 vs there over all record .

    Done enough

Washington with that 28-24 record and 57 rpi

Texas also went 0-2 in their conference tournament getting eliminated by Kansas. Texas has a rpi of #50 vs. #43 for WSU. I don't see Texas getting in.

You are right. If Texas gets in, WSU should be in.

First, let me make something very clear about who we are viewed by others as being in competition with first and foremost. We're not in competition with Texas, we're in competition with other Valley schools.

Ind St, like us, went 2 and done in the tourney, but they did beat us 2 of 3 and finished the regular season in 1st place. Advantage, Ind St.

MSU was 2nd in the Valley, beat us 2 of 3 regular season, and knocked us soundly out of the Valley tourney while going 2-2 in the tournament. Advantage, MSU.

Illinois St finished a game behind us and we beat them 2 of 3 winning the 3rd game in the 10th inning. Pre-Valley tourney, we were in to last 5 in, the Redbirds last 10 out. Our 0-2 and their 2-2 in the tourney muddied the waters. We're better, but the numbers don't show it very well.

Lastly, CU or SIU are in and with that, taking some other Valley team out. The Valley is good for 3 teams, not 4.

WSU did well against the top 50. Unfortunately, they did not do that well against the 50-100 being basically a .500 team. Nor was their record against the 101-200 that impressive. What ever was gained in the top 50 was countered in the 50-100 and 101-200. The Valley tourney was additional salt in the wound.

WSU may get in, but not because they (clearly) deserve it. If they do, Old Krusty may get that contract extention, so I hope you feel he deserves that as well. And if WSU doesn't get in, it won't be because they got shafted. They did that to themselves.

From the view of my computer, I did not see anybody earning anything on Tuesday or Wednesday. Did you see something that all of us didn't?

If MSU and ISU Blue were playing in the game tomorrow, then yes, I could entertain the idea of WSU possibly backing their way into a regional. But the fact that two **** teams are playing in the title game with the winner going to the NCAA's, that effectively ends WSU's magical journey at an at-large. The Valley is NOT getting 4 teams in, and WSU is 3rd in the Valley pecking order in terms of at-large selection.

                    You're setting yourself up, buddy.
                    Deuces Valley.
                    ... No really, deuces.

The difference is so little, either way, I don't think you could say we got shafted if TX was in and WSU out.

The #6 Valley will probably get 3 of 8 teams in, the #4 Big XII 4 of 9. As of now, I think we're out because I doubt the Valley will get 4 bids.

Conference play: Texas went 1-2 against #4 Baylor, #16 A&M, and #87 Missouri. WSU went 1-2 against #38 MSU, #45 Ind St, and #83 Evansville.
Texas went 3-0 against #35 OU. WSU went 3-0 against #115 Bradley. Neither team was swept. Texas 14-10, WSU 12-9. Edge: Texas, a lot.

Non-con and RPI: Texas played #8 Stanford, #15 Rice, #17 Arkansas, #25 DBU. WSU #18 Purdue and #25 DBU. Texas did most of their damage in a tougher Top 50 against conference foes going 7-8 overall while WSU did their damage outside the conference going 6-8 to generally lesser ranked teams. Against like opponents, #25 DBU, #60 TX-Arlington, and #64 Texas St, Texas was 3-1, WSU 4-2. Texas #101-200 losses #103 Loyola-Marymount, #119 Tennessee, #134 Duke, #139 Kansas (2), and #144 K St. WSU #101-200 losses #110 SIU (2), #117 ORU, #141 CU, #166 S. Alabama, #170 LA-Lafayette, and #177 Santa Clara. Non-con Advantage: WSU due to their much better success against their lower Top 50 teams despite having worse losses in the 101-200 group.

Texas SOS #43, WSU #39. Texas overall record % .577, WSU .583. Texas RPI #49, WSU #44. These differences are not enough to sneeze at.

On the surface, which may be as far as it gets, Texas had an equal to better record against a tougher Top 50. WSU had worse losses than Texas. The rest will probably not get seen.

I will add to your list, that WSU is 4-3 against the rpi top 25 while Texas is 4-8. I think they are pretty close in nearly every category, but WSU does have the better rpi and SOS.

We are both nit picking my friend. WSU's 4-3 were all at home, Texas was 3-2 home, 1-1 neutral (or 4-3 home/neutral), and 0-5 road of which all 12 games but 1 were against higher ranked teams than WSU played. Nothing there indicates WSU would have done any better on the road or neutral field against higher ranked teams. WSU did lose to 3 worse teams than Texas, but WSU had a very slight edge on RPI and SOS. It's a push either way. No shafted, no bias, just damn bad luck WSU's own slightly lower conference stole a bid from them (or with WSU's help).
