We talked about that in the car on the way home last night. A KU pitcher a few years ago made a comment in the paper the next day that WSU had disrespected them because we wore white pants when we played them in their yard.

Apparently KU has some unwritten dress code when you play on their hallowed ground and in their minds we violated it.

Thanks for the reminder. I was thinking it was something their coach had said. I couldn't remember the story.

That is a good question (how did he end up at JCCC)? Why would a guy who the Ku coach said was the next Mike Pelfrey transfer to a Community College?

After losing 2 games against WSU, ku did manage to get one win this past weekend against #6 ranked Texas A&M (they went 1-2 in the series against the top 10 ranked Aggies). Ku also won both of their midweek games this week but they were both against non-division 1 teams (Baker, St. Mary).

While it is hard for me to imagine how KU beat a team ranked sixth in the country, I am glad to see it. It helps our RPI.

I will give you another surprise. Ku just won 7-2 tonight at Texas. Texas (21-14) may not be as good as usual but they still have a rpi of 44 right now.

Actually beating Texas, even in Austin isn't that big of a surprise to me. Beating Texas A&M last Sunday was. A&M is a top 10 ranked team. Texas has been floating in and out of the RPI top 50 all season. Now if KU takes 2 or 3 from Texas in Austin that would be a surprise. But hey it helps our RPI so more power to them.

Actually I care about how ALL of our opponents do since their record affects the Shox rpi. Normally in most sports I could care less about Ku and pay no attention to them. But since the Shox played them twice in baseball this year, I do care how they do because it does affect WSU.

...And as much as it pains me to see Ku win in anything, I do want them to win in baseball because it will help the Shox rpi.

Seeing how WSU is not even gonna be close to sniffing an at-large, our RPI is meaningless and thus a shitty team like KU getting lucky in 1 game out of about 35 this year means absolutely diddily poo.
