Looks like the weather will be pretty nice this weekend. A little windy (from the south) on Saturday and Sunday but not like some of the recent games and very warm, especially in the sun.

Game One

A solo home run to left by Sawyre Thornhill in the bottom of the 1st spots the Shocks a 1-0 lead.

Ross Cadena adds on a 2-run homer in the 2nd and the Shocks are up 3-0.

Houston gets a 2-out RBI double in the top of the 3rd to make it 3-1.

Jace loses it in the top of the 6th. A single, walk and hit by pitch loads the bases for Houston with no outs. After an out to right that does not advance any of the runners an infield single makes it 3-2 and leaves the bases loaded. A double clears the bases to make it 5-3. A bunt attempt is field by Jace who goes to 1st for the 2nd out and the runner is thrown out at home trying to score from 2nd.

A 2-out double Kocis drives in Rodden who had led off with a single and the Shocks get 1 back. Houston leads 5-4 after 6.

An error and a home run in the top of the 8th puts Houston up 7-4.

And that is where it finishes up.

HCEW perhaps stayed with Jace just a little bit too long in the 6th.
