I was just wondering who was a Butler recruit, who was a Wedge recruit, and who was a Butler commit that Wedge chose to rerecruit. Also, I take back what I said about we will eventually hit. Guys like Cornblum and Segrist have not taken to this staff apparently. Really tough loss for the Shocks. They probably deserved better but the errors in the bottom of the 8th were killers, especially the error by Thornhill on the routine ground ball right at him. Lady luck paid Houston a visit in this one. Houston did not win this game. The Shocks lost this game.
On the bright side the Shockers starting pitching for the entire weekend was the best it has been this year. It is going to have to be as HCEW, for good reason, has no confidence in his bullpen outside of the closer Holden. Plus the offense is probably not going to provide a lot of runs to work with.
The Shocks fall to 12-15 on the season with 2 mid-week games with Oklahoma State sandwiched around a series at ECU next weekend coming up.Last edited by 1972Shocker; April 3, 2022, 09:33 PM.Comment
