I would have liked to seen Payton Tolle's infield single to the 1st baseman. Payton isn't exactly quick down the line.
That move Thornhill, who had singled and stole 2nd to 3rd. Chuck Ingram followed with a 2-out RBI single.
Garrett Kocis pinch hitting for Couper Cornblum. Kocis struck out.

It will be interesting to see what the Shockers do on the mound in the 9th. I would consider letting Bye start the inning but have someone ready to go if needed. However, I anticipate they will probably bring in Holden to close it out. We'll see.
